West Midlands Pension Fund are pleased to present a series of webinars to help you and your staff carry out the day-to-day administration of the scheme.

Free to attend, the sessions will be useful both as a refresher for existing staff, or an introduction to processes for those that are new to Fund administration.

The following sessions are on offer;

 

Wednesday 12th August 2020

10:00 am - 11:15 am: Tenders, TUPE, Admission Bodies and  Pass-Through Arrangements

Aimed at those that routinely deal with TUPE arrangements and procurement in local authorities, academy trusts, or private contractors, this session aims to give you an overview of the admission body application process and the Fund's new default approach, pass-through arrangements. 10:00 am - 11:00 am: Fund Induction for New Employers

An overview of the scheme, including a brief introduction to LGPS regulations, the responsibilities of a scheme employer and eligibility to join the scheme.

A brief session to introduce payroll and pension administrators to the pay information that is used for pension purposes, including term-time only requirements and assumed pensionable pay.

Tuesday 8th September 2020

10:00 am - 11:15 am: Submission of Web S4 Leaver Notifications - Refunds

A comprehensive session covering the completion of the Web S4 Early Leaver (S4EL) process for members entitled to a refund.

2:00 pm - 3:15 pm: Submission of Web S4 Leaver Notifications - Deferments

A comprehensive session covering the completion of the Web S4 Early Leaver (S4EL) process for members entitled to a deferred record.

Tuesday 6th October 2020

10:00 am - 11:15 am: Submission of the Monthly Data File

A detailed session that will instruct delegates in the creation of the data file, and its submission on via Web Portal. A must for any administrators responsible for the submission of this file.

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm: Submission of Web S4 Leaver Notifications - Retirements (Normal/Redundancy)

A comprehensive session covering the completion of the Web S4 Retirement (S4RB) process for members wishing to access their pension benefits through normal retirement, or those that are over the age of 55 and are subject to redundancy.

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm: Submission of Web S4 Leaver Notifications - Ill Health Retirements

A comprehensive session covering the completion of the Web S4 Retirement (S4RB) process for members that have been assessed as medically unfit for work, and are therefore entitled to ill-health retirement benefits.
