For pensions, people and planet: our climate journey and a message to Governments

We have signed the 2024 Global Investor Statement to Governments on the Climate Crisis, which calls on governments to take five essential policy actions to accelerate the private capital flows needed for a just transition to a climate-resilient, nature-positive economy.

The statement, published ahead of the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Azerbaijan, sets out why policy mechanisms are essential to achieve a climate-resilient, net zero emissions economy by 2050 or sooner, with interim targets in line with credible 1.5°C pathways.
 
We, along with hundreds of investors are calling for a whole-of-government approach. The statement aligns with our broader climate strategy.
